Week 5: Day 5 Mindful Affirmations
Welcome to Friday my friends! I hope this week brought about some positive mindset changes. Positive affirmations are considered to be one of the most potent tools for practicing mindfulness. They can help you create your desired path and guide you towards your goals and dreams. From today on, I want you to start seeing your thoughts as the filter that will shape the way you see the world and live your life. When you choose positive thoughts, you create a direct effect on your nervous system. This will influence your daily experiences, your choices, relationships, and your whole outlook on life!
That's where the positive affirmations do there magic! Like with any of the mindfulness practices we have explored over these last 5 weeks, the more you practice positive affirmations, the better you get, and the more results you can perceive.
For day 5 I wanted to share with you some ways to use affirmations. This week I included in the posts some short videos with spoken positive affirmations. You can use this method in the morning while your preparing for the day, listen while your driving, before bedtime, or pretty much whenever you need a boost throughout the day, But there are other ways as well...
1. Take a look at the photo at the top of the page! Post it notes are a great way to display your affirmations. You can attach them to your mirror and reflect on them throughout the day!
2. Change your screen saver to one of your favorite affirmations. This way you see it throughout your work day.
3. Art prints. Positive affirmations are gaining popularity (which is awesome), there are a ton of art prints for your wall that are centered around affirmations! Or if your feeling creative create your own artwork to display an affirmation and frame it for your wall! This is a great way to share these positive thoughts with your family and visitors!
4. Flip book. I like to take notecards and write down affirmations that are meaningful for me. Hole punch the corners and attach with a ring. Super easy to make as well as adapt new affirmations to meet your current mindset needs. I keep the flip book in my car and each day I randomly flip to a page and display it. I spend a lot of time in the car running my family around, the affirmation for the day is shared with everyone! It's a great way to start my kids day off on a positive note!
Get creative! See what works for you! Have fun and soak in those positive affirmations!
I'll see you next week as we enter our final week! Stay warm and have a wonderful weekend!
Much Love,
